Hi guys! Welcome to Body Kneads Blog-
The two greatest challenges to maintain massage in our lives are: 1) Schedule, and 2) Budget. My overall goal with massage is to inform people of the cumulative benefits of receiving massage but also be very conscious of financial restrictions. In other words, I know you don't care how much massage can alleviate your pain, lower your stress, or increase your ability to fight infections--if you can't afford to do it!
Schedule
In a perfect world, most of us would like massage every week, if not every day. However, between kids, work, grocery shopping, and the (now) beautiful summer coming our way, this isn't quite realistic. Depending on your needs, massage could be recommended on a month-to-month basis. The important thing is to focus on getting into a routine. Receiving a massage once a year on your birthday (yay!) or when you have that kink in your back (eek!), you may receive some relief, but doesn't necessarily offer lasting benefits.
Budget
Massage is much more than a luxury. Massage is a vital part of our health. Our choices need to change. This is difficult with the availability of processed foods, preservatives, and those amazing chocolate-whatever-i-dont-care-YUM frappes and coffees! At Body Kneads, I'm creating a Wellness Plan. I would rather see you once a month or bi-weekly at a discounted rate, rather than waiting until sitting in a chair for 8 hours a day has caused shooting, unbearable pain.
